Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there’s a pair of us!
Don’t tell! they’d advertise – you know!
How dreary – to be – Somebody!
How public – like a Frog –
To tell one’s name – the livelong June –
To an admiring Bog!

Why share my life in blog form? I’m not sure if it’s the excitement and intrigue of sharing my life with others- strangers and friends alike. Or maybe the concept of documenting my journey for the purposes of tracking progress and reflecting. Either way, since you’re here if there’s anything that interests or that you relate to I would love to hear from you! Shoot me a reply through my page or DM me via your preferred social media forum.

A little about me: I am 23 going on 24. I have a wonderful, loud, and passionate Italian family that has influenced the creative, emotional, resilient person I am today. I grew up in San Diego and moved to the Bay Area when I was 17 to begin my Undergraduate. I officially earned my BA in 2015 from the University of California, Berkeley.

Just before my final year at Cal my long time heart-throb love, Eric, moved up to the Bay for work. We had know each other and dated sporadically since the summer of 2011. When he moved here in May of 2014 we kicked things off and soon were living together. Now it’s been over 2.5 years strong of laughter, adventures, driving each other a little crazy, and mostly love. I currently work in San Jose as a Teacher and am in training to be an assistant director. I chose this field after graduation because I have always love working with children and I am genuinely intrigued by the way children think, grow and learn.

While I have been inspired by my experiences in the Education field, it is just a stepping stone on the long road to what I truly want to do. My plan is to return to school to earn a graduate degree in Psychology and transition into working for a private practice to provide counseling to adolescents and family systems as well as doing research to further explore my interest in psychological disorders presented in childhood and effective treatment options. I would also like to navigate the role of the education system in addressing and treating early symptomatology. I believe that I have a lot to offer the clinical and developmental psychology professions. Right now I am navigating what role I will play and how to get there.

Lastly, my personal love and devotion to endurance has been brewing from a young age. From track in middle school, cross country in high school, triathlons in college  I have always had an affinity for training and racing. Now as an adult I’m training to race my first 70.3 next year (2017). I would also love to qualify and compete at USAT Age Group Nationals next year. I qualified this year (2016), but was unable to compete due to a bad car accident and subsequently needing to take time to recover. But now that I’m back on track I’m excited to see what my mind and body are capable of! Join me in my fitness journey!
